A series of serendipitous events caused Mike Swanson to return home to reimagine his family’s ancestral farm and turn it into a grain-to-glass distillery that draws from local Minnesotan agricultural traditions and Nordic sensibilities. Episode 03 - Soll and Wolfe Distillery

Spirits of French Lick, in the bucolic heartland of French Lick, Indiana, has become a hallmark of artisanal whiskey production. Led by Alan Bishop, a master distiller committed to reviving forgotten recipes and techniques, his distillery has gained acclaim for preserving and rebuilding Indiana's distilling heritage. Their singular Lee W. Sinclair 4-Grain Bourbon, a meticulously crafted spirit, brings corn, wheat, oats, and barley together in an incredible blend of flavors. Through Alan Bishop’s dedication, the Spirits of French Lick has established itself as a beacon in the craft spirits movement. Episode 05 - Mammoth Distilling

For the final episode of Craft Spirited, we bring you Mammoth Distilling, headquartered in Traverse City, Michigan, and the brainchild of founder Chad Munger and Ari Sussman, a former businessman and distiller with a penchant for creating exceptional spirits and utilizing the prized Rosen Rye. Mammoth Distilling draws inspiration from the Great Lakes. One of their best-selling whiskeys is the Mammoth Straight Bourbon, a meticulously crafted bourbon known for its caramelized flavors and smooth finish. In this chat, Chad & Ari bring us through the history of Rosen Rye and how they are trying to revitalize this lost varietal.
